A. Yes, many of our representatives speak spanish.
Q. When will
I recieve a bill for services.?
A. Residential customers recieve a bill four times
a year. Each bill includes your cost for three months
of service. Commercial customers recieve a bill once
every month.
Q. Can I request
extra service on my collection day ?
A. Yes, contact C/S for info on add'l charges. Also
you can upgrade increse your service by calling 800-299-4898
Q. Is there
a charge for extra recycling or yardwaste contaiers
?
A. For residential customers there is no charge for
addtional recycling or yardwaste containers. (limits
apply).
Q. Why can't I put pizza boxes, used paper
plates, fast food containers, wrappers and paper cups
into my recycling ?
A. Paper or cardboard contaminated with food, grease
or oil is not recyclable. Please discard these in
your tras contact.
Q. Why can't
I put wood, palm fronds, cactus or bamboo in my yardwaste
container?
A. Because the material cannot be easily composted.
Please only place glasses, leaves and tree and plant
trimming ysrdwaste container.
Q. How do
I start a recycling programme at my office multi-family
community?

i order a debris box or temporary household clean-up
container?
A. Please contact Customer Care at 299-4898. A
signed service contract and deposit required on
all orders for delivery.
Q. Where do
i dispose of household haradous waste such as household
chemicals, paints and batteries.

nearest you.
Q. Why can't
I dispose of computer monitors and televisions in
my trash container?
A. Computer and television monitors are considered
hazardous material because of the Catherode Ray Tubes
(CRTs) in the glass. Please only dispose of these
at a household hazardous materials drop-off location,
or contact E-Recycling at 562-634-8372
Q. What if
I see people scavening through my trash containers?
A. If you see people going through your containers
or removing your recyclables, please call your local
code enforcement office. (Link...)
Q. what if
I already collect recyclable items for a local charity?
A. Consolidated disposal Services encourges community
support of charitable organizations. Recyclable materials
not accepted by charity should be placed in your recycling
container for collection by Consolidated disposal
services.
Q. What do
I do with large or bulky item?
A. Please place your bulky item at the curb on your
regularly scheduled pick up day Bulky Waste means
discarded furniture (including chairs, sofas, mattresses
and rugs); appliances (including refrigrators and
other similar items, commonly known as "white
goods"); (including stereo, VCRs and other similar
items commonly known as "brown goods");
residential waste (includes wood, waste, tree branches
bundled not greater than 4 foot in length, scrap wood;
clothing; Bulky Waste does not include such material
as car bodies, Construction and Demolition derbis
or items requiring more than two persons to remove.
Q. What else
can i do to help my environment?
A. You can do your part by developing new habits to
reduce waste. At the store, buy items with less packaging
and buy items made from recycled products. Whenever
possible, reuse items by donating them to local charities
or selling them in a garage sale.
Q. Will the
same truck pic up all containers?
A. No, A separate truck is used to pick up each container,
Please be sure that your containers has been emptied
before removing it from the parkway.
Q. What if
one of my containers is damaged?
A. If your container is damaged or you need an extra
one, contact consolidated Disposal Services's Customer
Service Department toll-free at (800) 299-4898. Each
resident receives one, one (recyclable and one green
(yard waste) container as part of our collection program.
